Arboreal Consultant

There are often trees growing in an area which will be affected by a building project. An arboreal consultant will provide detailed information about the tree(s) and liaise with the local council’s Tree Officer to ensure that any impact the new building and construction works will have, is limited. They will also agree on a strategy which will protect the tree(s) whilst the works are ongoing. This strategy will form part of the Planning Application and often forms a condition attached to the Planning Approval.

Arboreal consultants can also provide information and support when working with tree(s) which are subject to a Tree Preservation Order and/or are within a local Conservation Area, which limits what can happen to them.

The services provided by the arboreal consultant start at around £300 and are dependent on the site and the work required.
