Helston Bowling Club Pavillion

A redesign of Helston's Bowling Club Pavilion

3HW were asked by Helston Bowling Club to redesign and secure Planning Permission for their new Bowling Pavillion. The brief was to review the current facilities, the condition of the existing building, and to understand- and cater for- the future needs of the club itself. This included redesigning the kitchen area, increasing changing room space, and both improving and increasing the toilet facilities. Part of the idea behind this brief was to create a building which is much more accessible and with the potential to become more of an asset to the local community.

This scheme had to be sympathetic to the location of the building, situated in a Conservation Area, surrounded by the newly renovated Grylls Monument Public Realm works. The new toilet block and market store in this area has also been designed by 3HW for Helston Town Council. As such, we have been to ensure that the design works well with the future plans for the Bowling Club.

Planning Permission has been granted, with the building work to take place once funding has been secured.
